Chalobah Expected to Replace Marc Guehi in England Selection
The Chelsea star followed his brother Nathaniel in playing for England, becoming the 21st pair of siblings to be selected for the national team.
Trevoh Chalobah is likely to join up with the Three Lions selection to cover for injured Crystal Palace centre-back Marc Guehi.
The 26-year-old footballer is scheduled to join the national side for England's final World Cup qualifiers against Serbia and Albania, but it has yet to be confirmed.
The Three Lions have already qualified for next summer's competition.
Chalobah received his first invitation under England head coach Thomas Tuchel in the month of May and then earned his first cap against the Senegalese team.
In September, Tuchel stated Chalobah was unlucky to be omitted from the squad for qualifiers against Serbia and Andorra, and additionally did not select him for the next October matches.
Tuchel has been an important influence in Chalobah's development, having given him his Chelsea first appearance in 2021.
Chalobah has played in all but four games for Chelsea in the current campaign, with the team third in the Premier League, in the EFL Cup last eight and in the group stage of the European competition.
Guehi sustained a foot problem in Crystal Palace's Conference League victory over AZ Alkmaar last week.
There are expected to be further call-ups to the squad. Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has said that both winger Anthony Gordon (hip injury) and shot-stopper Nick Pope (concussion symptoms) are set to pull out from the national team.
